The app
Is Vectorize Image free?
The app is free to download. You get 3 free tries for Image to vector and Remove background. Trace is free with no limit. A weekly or yearly subscription unlocks the AI tools.
Which devices does the app support?
The app works on iPhone and iPad with iOS 17.6 or later.
Can I use the SVG with Cricut?
Yes. Save the SVG to Files. Then upload it in Cricut Design Space. Trace gives the cleanest one-color cut file.
Which image formats can I open?
The app opens any image from your Photos library. That includes HEIC, JPEG and PNG. You can also take a photo with the camera.
Does the app work offline?
Trace works offline. Image to vector and Remove background need an internet connection.
Is there a Mac or web version?
No. Vectorize Image works only on iPhone and iPad.
Subscription
What does the subscription include?
The subscription unlocks Image to vector and Remove background. Trace stays free for everyone.
Which plans are there?
There is a weekly plan and a yearly plan. The weekly plan starts with a 3-day free trial.
How do I cancel the subscription?
Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad. Tap your name, then Subscriptions. Then choose Vectorize Image and cancel.
How do I restore a purchase on a new device?
Open the menu in the app and tap Restore Purchases. Use the same Apple Account as before.
Files and export
Where does the app save an SVG?
The app saves an SVG to Files. You can also send it with AirDrop, Mail or Messages.
Why can't I save the SVG to Photos?
The Photos app does not accept SVG files. Save the SVG to Files instead.
What PNG sizes can I export?
Image to vector and Trace export PNG at 1×, 2×, 3× and 4×. The largest side reaches 4096 px.
Can I use the SVG with Cricut Design Space?
Yes. Save the SVG to Files. Then upload it in Cricut Design Space.
